Activision Responds to the FTC Lawsuit
Activision has responded to the FTC’s choice to sue and attempt to block the Activision Blizzard purchase by Microsoft. It appears that the FTC has decided to sue Microsoft to stop the Activision Blizzard acquisition. This huge Xbox news today is coming as it was just announced and Microsoft has already responded. Xbox is taking the FTC to court and is looking forward to defending its position. Specifically, the talking points around Call of Duty exclusivity were mentioned and the Activision Blizzard Microsoft deal also brought up concerns about Bethesda Softworks and their tone on exclusive games.

CALIFORNIA DENIED | Cannot Stop EEOC/Activision Settlement (VL596)
California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) tried to stop the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) from settling with Activision, but the resulting fallout not only sullied the reputations of both agencies, but has also proved to be all for naught.
Wanting something doesn’t make it a federal case, as the State of California just found…in Virtual Legality.
